Hello there!

I’m Dan – a wedding photographer based in lovely Healesville, right in the heart of the Yarra Valley. I’ve been doing this for 12 years now and have photographed over 750 amazing weddings along the way!

My photography style is primarily fly-on-the-wall / candid however I’m also here for a good time so I’ll also bring the energy when needed. I’m there to be an instant ally to you. I’ll join in with the banter, have a yarn with dad and help bustle a dress. By the end of it, people often assume I’m an old mate of yours. That’s when I know I’ve nailed it.

I’m a down-to-earth bloke with labrador energy - friendly, easygoing, and always up for a good time - My goal on a wedding day is simple, to help make sure you have the absolute best day ever. I’ve had the privilege of photographing all kinds of weddings and personalities, and I pride myself on being a vibe chameleon: knowing when to guide the moment, and when to step back and let it unfold naturally.

Outside of weddings, I’m a regular dad who’s into breakfast food, pale ales, and a decent coffee. I’m a lifelong Arsenal fan, Green Day tragic, Star Wars nerd, and mountain bike enthusiast. But the biggest loves in my life are my two kids, Archie and Maggie, and my very patient wife and business partner, CJ - she takes care of all the grown-up parts of the business like an absolute legend.

I hear this line from my couples all the time. In fact that’s what Rach & Nick here said but look at them smiling like two seagulls in a chip shop.

Spoiler alert, you don’t need to worry about this. That’s where I come in!

Your couple portraits are not something to dread on your wedding day, it’s actually a great opportunity for you guys to have a bit of quiet time - check in with each other and just be present. I’ll obviously tag along as your professional third wheel and give you gentle prompts disguised behind tragic dad jokes - somewhere in between we’ll capture get some fab pics of you guys like these legends here.

Photos do not need to take hours either, give me 15 minutes with you both (and maybe 5 more at sunset) - we’ll get some gold to hang on your wall and have you back with your guests in no time.
